Avril Lavigne Says New Album Is Darker & Heavier


Avril Lavigne has been previewing songs from her upcoming album Under My Skin during her Avril Live And By Surprise mall tour. The singer has typically performed five of the new songs-“Don’t Tell Me,” “He Wasn’t,” “My Happy Ending,” “Take Me Away,” and “Nobody’s Home.” Under My Skin comes out May 25. Avril Gets More Complicated


Avril Lavigne is getting personal on the follow-up to her 2002 multi-platinum debut, Let Go, which she’s been recording at the Malibu home of fellow Canadians Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida. Simple Plan, Lillix Offer 'Freaky' Covers


Simple Plan, the Donnas and Bowling For Soup are among the acts that have contributed songs to the “Freaky Friday” soundtrack, due July 29 on Hollywood Records. Lifehouse Ready to Rock


Eighteen months on the road wasn’t enough to suck the life out of Lifehouse. Although the threesome is presently enjoying a brief touring respite, singer/guitarist Jason Wade, bassist Sergio Andrade and drummer Rick Woolstenhulme will be back in the studio in March to work on the follow-up to their 2000 breakthrough debut, No Name Face.
