Heart Attack Man Drops Tongue-In-Cheek “Spit” Music Video

After announcing their forthcoming album Joyride The Pale Horse and dropping the music video for “Laughing Without Smiling,” Heart Attack Man is back with the music video for “Spit.” Lead vocalist Eric Egan notes, “This song is a go-for-the-throat, tongue-in-cheek lashing out against the use of generative artificial intelligence in the creative process, as I think it signals the death of ones own inherent creativity.” Egan adds, “It gets into A.I. What does A.I. mean for the creative process? Is it the end of human creativity? ‘Spit’ is a tongue-in-cheek sarcastic confrontation. I don’t like the idea of everyone relying… Read more »

Knuckle Puck Says It’s “Nice To Know Ya” On First Track Of 2025

Chicago’s premier pop-punkers Knuckle Puck just dropped their new single “Nice To Know Ya” to make your gray winter day a little brighter. This follows up their October 2024 release “On All Cylinders” out via Pure Noise Records. The band explains, “When writing ‘Nice to Know Ya,’ we tried to take an older approach by keeping it as out-of-the-box as we could. This includes uglier chords, a spoken verse, and push-pull lyrics to match the juxtaposition of the verse and chorus.” Knuckle Puck continues, “One of our goals for this band originally was to keep the listener guessing with our… Read more »

As It Is Shares That “Dial Tones” Featuring Lucas Woodland Is Coming Soon

After teasing a featured guest on their 10-year re-release of “Dial Tones,” As It Is has officially revealed the special act: Lucas Woodland of Holding Absence. Sure, we were wrong on our initial guesses of Stand Atlantic and Derek DiScanio of State Champs, but Woodland is also an incredible artist who has a five-letter first name and eight-letter last name. Who knew so many awesome acts fit this very specific character limit? On Instagram, As It Is shared, “We are beyond excited to have our bestie @loocaswoodland of @holdingabsence lend his incredible voice to the 10-year re-record of Dial Tones!… Read more »

Will As It Is Tap Stand Atlantic or Derek DiScanio for New Version Of “Dial Tones”?

As It Is just dropped a new teaser video on Instagram and TikTok sharing that they’re releasing a new version of “Dial Tones.” This time, the Never Happy, Ever After track contains a mystery featured guest artist. The teaser video sees the song in its more mature form with refined pop-punk sonics—after all, it’s been an entire decade. (Insert crying emoji here.) Our best guess is that As It Is tapped Stand Atlantic to help refresh “Dial Tones” in 2025. In September 2024, Patty Walters joined Stand Atlantic onstage for a performance of “NOSE BLEED.” So, clearly, they were hanging… Read more »

Sweet Pill Reveals “Cut” From Their ‘Unraveled’ EP

After announcing their Unraveled EP earlier in the week, Sweet Pill has officially shared its first track, “Cut.” In an Instagram post, the band shared, “We’ve all been hard at work on something very special behind the scenes – a new way to listen to a few of our favorite Sweet Pill songs. Our music is generally known for its high energy but we collectively felt the need to showcase what else is behind each song when stripped back – whether that be the guitar melodies, intricate rhythms, but most of all Zayna’s [Youssef] vocals.” Youssef herself shared, “To wrap… Read more »
