This week I have guitar player and songwriter Ronnie Ish from the band As It Is, my first introduction of him that I remember was us meeting on a bus that we were forced to share for a month, and we got to know each other and became close in that amount of time, and fast forward the clock and he now is in his band As It Is on Fearless Records. We talk about how Ronnie got his start growing up to where he is now, he has a great and parallel story to mine. Listen in! 

This week I have long time friend and singer/songwriter Jamie Woolford from his band The Stereo! I’ve always thought this band has been ahead of their time and I’ve been going to their shows since 1998, these guys have slept on my floor and vice versa over the years of touring. Jamie met me when I was a fan of theirs and going to shows in Salt Lake City, and we’ve followed each other’s careers ever since! This week I have legendary rockstar Marko DeSantis! He’s played for such bands as The Swingin’ Utters, The Ataris, and his most notable band- Sugarcult! I got to learn all about his career starting in Santa Barbara through today. I got to first tour with Marko 20 years ago and we’ve been friends ever since, he has such a cool story, he even talks about how he grew up with Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett. Tune in!

This week I have artist Val Astaire, I met him because he came on the road with my band IDKHOW, and was helping us out while he had down time with his project, he was taking pictures and helping with the crew, I got to know him and his musical outlet by talking to him on the road but I wanted to learn more about him and how he got started and where he’s headed on his journey, he’s a fairly new artist, was even signed to RCA before the pandemic and I get to hear his story, so tune… Read more »

This week I have singer/songwriter Brian Dales, I first met him in 2009 when my old band The Bigger Lights got to do early tours with his band The Summer Set, we’ve been in touch ever since and we find out how The Summer Set came out of hiatus and what Brian and the rest of the band are up to, as well as how he got started in music and is continuing new avenues related to music.

This week I have long time friend of the band Flogging Molly, Nathen Maxwell. I did one of my first tours ever sharing a bus with him, over 20 years ago! We talk about how Nathen got his start in music and all of the projects he finds himself involved in. He’s one of my favorite people and musicians and I’m glad he took the time to come on my show.

This week I have guitar player and all around good friend Anthony Purpura, I didn’t know him until he started working for my band, and we liked him so much, he plays guitar for us live! It turns out we have a lot of the same friends and we briefly met at a 4th of July party 12 years ago, we talk about how he got from that moment until right now this week on my show. We learn all things Anthony! 

This week I have long time friend Nick Major, he too has his own show on Idobi Radio, I met him years ago when he was on the front lines of interviewing bands at Alternative Press in person, we got to keep in touch and I get to learn about how he got into music and into acting and radio! We talk all things Nick Major! 

This week I have Digital Marketing Guru- Shan Dan Horan from Universal Music Group. We talk about how he grew up in Flagstaff Arizona and how he went from being in a small town to working with countless record labels over the years and how he got involved with music.
