'Punk Rock Holocaust!' Warped Tour Slasher Flick On The Way

And you thought Andrew W.K. was scary. The organizers behind the Vans Warped Tour are tapping into the world of cinema by filming a “teenage slasher film” during the trek. “It’s about a disgruntled employee,” said Kevin Lyman, founder of the tour that mixes extreme sports and punk/ska music. “The guy gets fired the first day and he comes back and puts a curse on the Warped Tour. Then all these things happen.” The tentatively titled “Punk Rock Holocaust” will be shot by Backseat Conceptions, a division of Troma Films, makers of such B-movie classics as “The Toxic Avenger,” “Sgt.… Read more »

Ozzy Croons And Moons, Manson Rocks With Private Parts, Killswitch Kill At Ozzfest Stop – Review

Ozzy crooned, mooned and squirted his water guns, Disturbed bellowed, and Marilyn Manson vamped it up, but Ozzfest has always been just as much about the lesser-known acts, and Sunday’s show was no exception. Though bands like Kilgore, Pushmonkey and the perhaps aptly named No One have proven that Ozzfest exposure alone won’t make you famous, second-stage alumni System of a Down and Slipknot can attest that it certainly doesn’t hurt. Killswitch Engage’s potential spot in the Slipknot category seemed all but assured even before they appeared at Dallas’ Smirnoff Music Centre. Even though it was only the second show… Read more »

Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson’s engagement and relationship are on the rocks, according to a People magazine report. I’m a mom, and that’s where my life is at.” She also showed up at a party at the Playboy Mansion earlier this month without either Rock or “the rock.” She told the publication, “Assume… Read more »
