Veteran band protests about Justin Veteran R&B group the O’Jays protested about Justin Timberlake’s involvement in their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The group were introduced by the 24-year-old singer at the ceremony at in New York. The O’Jays are best known for their disco 70s hits Love Train and Backstabbers. New York – Irish rockers U2 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, led by their charismatic singer Bono, whose work on behalf of Africa’s poor have also earned him status as a political statesman. Just like everything that surrounds Sum 41, Chuck, the band’s fourth full-length album, has an outlandish story behind it. Last May, the group of 20-somethings were in the Congo, doing the charitable rock star thing by filming a documentary for War Child Canada about the civil war there, which has claimed over three million lives. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Kid Rock was arrested Wednesday by Nashville police on charges that he punched a disc jockey at a strip club. The 34-year-old rapper was released after posting a $3,000 bond on a charge of simple assault, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. “Everything is wonderful. London – Rock star Pete Doherty has spent a fourth night in jail after he was imprisoned following charges of robbery and blackmail. The ex-Libertines singer would have been released on 150,000 pounds bail last Friday but he failed to come up with the money in time and a court sent him to prison. Tripoli – An American rock band hoping to be the first Western group to play in Libya since Muammar Gaddafi came to power 35 years ago could not perform because of an administrative glitch, government officials said on Saturday. The Heavenly States, a little-known group based in Oakland, California, had arrived in Libya on Feb. 1 to play three concerts, including one in the Roman ruins of Leptis Magna.
