In honor of Hopeless Records turning 30, LØLØ has covered New Found Glory‘s “Vicious Love” for the label’s Hopelessly Devoted To You compilation album. The song originally appeared on New Found Glory‘s 2014 LP Resurrection and featured Paramore‘s Hayley Williams. The MTV Video Music Awards isn’t just a superficial awards show. It’s an institution that has crafted some of pop culture’s most iconic moments. Frankly, no other awards show has created massive ripples in the cultural zeitgeist such as Miley Cryus’ famous twerking moment and Beyoncé’s baby bump reveal alongside bands such as Alien Ant Farm playing their cover of “Smooth Criminal” or Rage Against The Machine and Limp Bizkit feuding onstage in 2000. Following up the recent release of their deluxe edition of Baku’s Revenge, Magnolia Park have gifted fans with another brand new track. “Homicide” leans toward the more pop-infused sound the band sometimes explores in their writing. While certainly still being a pop punk banger, the track has an explosive and anthemic chorus you could hear on the radio. The band have quit the knack for crafting a catchy chorus.
