Philadelphia-based folk rock outfit, Slaughter Beach, Dog have returned today with a comforting new track “Strange Weather” via Lame-O Records. The new track has the nostalgia of an indie rock song from the 1970’s. Simple acoustic guitars are bathed over warm drum tones, and beautiful harmonies laced with wiggly lead guitar licks happen in just the right places. After 12 years, Fear Factory is calling it quits. A statement on RoadRunnerRecords.com says Fear Factory is no longer together as a band. It says last weekend singer Burton Bell sat the band down in their rehearsal studio to announce his intentions of leaving. It says Burton no longer wants to be in the band for personal reasons, and the rest of the band doesn’t want to carry on without him.
