McLean Extends Rehab – Backstreet Boys Reschedule Tour


Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean has extended his time in rehabilitation for two weeks, forcing the teen-pop phenomena to postpone their North American tour for a second time, the group’s members said on Tuesday. McLean, 23, is in a 30-day treatment program for alcoholism, depression and other problems, and the group was set to return to the road next Tuesday. Tool Tap Fantomas For East Coast Tour


While West Coast Tool fans will be treated to King Crimson as show openers, those on the East Coast will be primed by the sonic antics of Fantômas. Portland, Ore.-based MeasureCast today announced that total time spent listening (TTSL) to Internet radio stations measured by MeasureCast during the week of July 16-22 was down slightly compared to the previous week, causing the weekly MeasureCast Internet Radio Index‘ to drop five percent from 198 to 189. MeasureCast reports that 11 of the MeasureCast Top 25 stations streamed more than they did the previous week. Virgin Radio and ESPN Radio saw substantial increases in TTSL (up 23 percent and 16 percent respectively). Moreover, 16 of the top 25 stations experienced an increase in estimated cume. Janet's Chipped Tooth Derails Milwaukee Concert


Janet Jackson probably wasn’t smiling Wednesday (July 18), and neither were her Milwaukee fans. The singer reportedly canceled her concert there just hours before showtime after undergoing emergency dental work. Jackson chipped a tooth and had to have an emergency root canal, according to Milwaukee TV station WTMJ.
