Alexisonfire in NYC


Alexisonfire released Otherness, their 5th LP and first in 13 years, back in June and are on tour in support. The album stays true to Alexisonfire’s signature post-hardcore sound; battling vocal styles between Dallas Green’s sweeping melodies and George Pettit’s frenetic screamo. The Ontario born group came to New York City’s South Street seaport for a rooftop show at Pier 17 on Saturday, July 23rd. Idobi photographer Joseph Buscarello was on the roof over the East River – see the full photo gallery below.

If ever there were a time to start taking artistic shots at corruption in the United States Government it’s now. Youtube channel Concertsaholicshirts4 posted a video from Ben Folds’ live performance at Pier 17 in NYC on August 1 and it’s a fantastic jab at Mitch McConnell. Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Leader and Head Obstructor, blocks any legislation that would protect the United States elections from interference by other countries, like Russia. Fred Mascherino Rejoins Taking Back Sunday for Summer Tour


Taking Back Sunday has released a nearly seven-minute video statement addressing why guitarist and co-vocalist John Nolan will not be joining them on tour this summer. In the announcement, frontman Adam Lazzara and the band revealed that longtime member Fred Mascherino will be returning to take his place. Mascherino, who originally played with the group from 2003 to 2007, will rejoin for their upcoming summer tour alongside co-headliners Coheed And Cambria.
