Blink-182 are continuing their fine tradition of potty humor album titles, following up 2001’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket with Use Your Erection I and II. Drummer Travis Barker revealed the Guns N’ Roses-inspired name at Saturday’s KROQ Weenie Roast, where he performed with the Transplants. Eighties new wave star Adam Ant was arrested for suspicion of criminal damage in London on Wednesday for allegedly hurling rocks through a neighbor?s windows. Ant, 49, whose real name is Stuart Leslie Goddard, was arrested and then booked at the Central London police station on Wednesday morning, according to a Scotland Yard spokesperson. The spokesperson said a 49-year-old man was questioned and released on bail, although Ant was not named, per British police protocol. He was ordered to report back in July for a hearing. Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington was released from a Los Angeles hospital Monday (June 9), according to a spokesperson for the band’s label. Bennington had checked into the facility on May 30 complaining of intense chest and stomach pains. Doctors determined that either a parasite or an intestinal disorder was likely responsible for the ailment. Over the weekend, co-vocalist Mike Shinoda told Los Angeles’ KROQ-FM that Bennington would probably need surgery once the exact cause of his illness was pinpointed. Label founder Seymour Stein’s first signing under the new deal is the Von Bondies. Ted Perry, whose Hyperion Records label explored a wide range of classical music, has died at age 71. Perry died Sunday in a London hospital of lung cancer, said Mike Spring of Hyperion. Perry, who had worked with several record companies in Britain and Australia, founded Hyperion in 1981 and drove a cab to keep the struggling operation going. While driving, he heard a broadcast performance of the songs of Hildegard von Bingen, the 12th-century German abbess, and contacted the artists. Hilary Rosen, who led the music industry’s fight against online piracy, turning an obscure trade group into a major player in the debate over copyright protection, said Wednesday she will quit as chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America.
