Neil Diamond, one of the most dependable touring acts in the music business, will return to the road in September to promote his first album of new material in four years, a spokeswoman said on Sunday. The 60-year-old singer/songwriter, famed for such tunes as “Cracklin’ Rosie” and “Solitary Man,” will be promoting his new album “Three Chord Opera” which hits U.S. stores on July 24. New Alanis Due In October


After months of negotiations, Alanis Morissette has signed a new contract with Maverick Records and will release her third album on the label in October. The follow-up to 1998’s Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie was originally slated to hit stores on June 12th, but the lengthy contract talks delayed the release. Jackson's MJJ Records Searching For New Home


Pop superstar Michael Jackson is shopping his MJJ Records label, a joint deal with Sony Music, to other label groups, sources tell the Hollywood Reporter. MJJ Records, which Jackson launched in 1993 as part of a multimedia deal, is still under contract with Sony. Dakona, Newly Signed Maverick Band, Set To Headline Teen Suicide Prevention Benefit Concert


Recently-signed band Dakona, currently hard at work on their debut album for Maverick Recording Company, will take a break from recording to headline a benefit concert to help teen suicide prevention.
