Australian singer/songwriter Ben Lee has drafted Mandy Moore and Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden for his next album. “Ripe,” the follow-up to 2005’s “Awake Is the New Asleep,” is due out September via indie label New West. Moore, who is gearing up for the release of her own album in June, guests on the track “Birds and Bees,” which Lee likens on his blog to “Summer Lovin”‘ from the musical “Grease.” “Mandy was very sweet and did her best Olivia Newton-John for me,” he writes. After trekking across the United States for dates on their whirlwind Sweet Sixteen Tour, The Maine is helping fans kick off a new year with a brand-new collaboration. MisterWives returned to New York City on September 15th for an incredible sold-out show at Pier 17, bringing along co-headliner Bishop Briggs and opener Raffaella. Formed in New York City, alt-pop band MisterWives have had a nearly decade-long career spanning different musical eras. The band recently released their fourth studio-album Nosebleeds, taking fans into their new era of punk.
