Staind's Aaron Lewis Joins Linkin Park On 'Crawling' Remix


Staind singer Aaron Lewis will be heard on a new version of the Linkin Park single “Crawling” on the Southern California rap-rock band’s upcoming remix album. Lewis recorded harmonies for the song in Linkin Park’s bus on the Family Values Tour last fall, Linkin Park DJ Joseph Hahn said Thursday. Hahn described the track, remixed by vocalist Mike Shinoda, as spacey and twice as long as the three-minute original. Linkin Park, Static X & Disturbed Fill In For Davis On 'Damned'


Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis will not appear on the soundtrack to the forthcoming movie Queen Of The Damned due to a stipulation in his contract with Epic Records, which prevents him from working for other labels. Linkin Park Guests On X-ecutioners Track


Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and DJ Joe Hahn have recorded a track with hip-hop turntablists X-ecutioners for the group’s Built From Scratch, which is set for a February 26 release. Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson revealed that Hahn was instrumental in the track and in directing the song’s video. “The song that we’ve collaborated with them is finished. Linkin Park’s debut record, Hybrid Theory, was the best-selling record of 2001, according to SoundScan, the music industry’s record keeper of sales for all music products. Hits like “One Step Closer” and “In the End” propelled the California alternative metal quintet to sales of 4.8 million. Linkin Park has signed Adema, Cypress Hill, and Z-Trip for its Projekt Revolution Tour. The package tour is set to begin in January and run through February, possibly going into March. Linkin Park's New 'Revolution' Begins In January


While the clock on Linkin Park’s Countdown to Revolution Tour is just about done ticking, the band is already lining up a new trek. The Projekt Revolution Tour, much like Linkin Park themselves, meshes rock and rap, with herbivores Cypress Hill, nü-metallers Adema and DJ Z-Trip slated to join the band on the bill, according to Linkin Park’s management. Linkin Park Planning Projekt Revolution Tour, Remix Album


Linkin Park is in the process of organizing its own headlining tour, the first Projekt Revolution Tour, tentatively set for January of 2002.
