Dirty Vegas hooks up with Moby on Sunday (July 14) in Dallas to serve as the main support act on his current headlining tour, which kicked off Thursday (July 11) in Kansas City. The British trio, known for its hit single, “Days Go By,” tours with Moby through late-August, with new dates recently added in Charlotte, North Carolina (August 24); Portsmouth, Virginia (August 25); and Pittsburgh (August 26). Cher Says Upcoming Tour Will Be Her Last


Oscar-winning singer-actress Cher has announced that her upcoming tour will be the last one of her career. The Living Proof: The Farewell Tour will kick off in Toronto on June 14 and will visit more than 50 cities throughout the United States, according to tour promoter Clear Channel Entertainment. “The road is tough, but the audience makes it all worthwhile,” said the legendary singer, who will celebrate her 56th birthday on May 20. Las Vegas wasn’t paradise city for Slash when he tried to check out Guns N’ Roses at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino late last month. It seems the band’s former guitarist wasn’t welcome to the jungle. Slash, who quit the group in 1996 and later formed Slash’s Snakepit, said he was in Vegas on vacation when he learned that GN’R would be playing there in two weeks’ time, on New Year’s Eve and two days before. Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash was barred from the band’s live comeback on 29 and 30 December 2001. The shows, at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Café, in the US, were the band’s first for eight years. Members of rock band Journey say they’ve got a lot in common with Las Vegas, where they headlined over the weekend. Neither is new and both have been evolving over the decades. “Vegas has evolved into a world-class place for entertainment,” said Journey’s new lead singer, Steve Augeri, who joined the band in 1998. Black Crowes Get Plastered At Rockwalk


Rock band the Black Crowes, who kicked off a North American tour with Oasis last weekend, took time out Monday to immortalize their handprints in concrete.
