Incubus To Tour In Fall


Incubus will release their fourth album, Morning View, on October 23rd. Working once again with producer Scott Litt, the band told Rolling Stone that the new material is “some of the heaviest music we’ve ever written [and] at the same time some of the most beautiful we’ve ever written.” A video shoot for the first single, “Wish You Were Here,” is planned for next month, and there will be pressure for Incubus to outdo themselves, as their video for “Drive” (from 1999’s Make Yourself) is up for Best Group Video at September’s MTV Video Music Awards. Priest, Anthrax Hit The Road


Judas Priest will tour in support of Demolition, their first release since 1997’s Jugulator and second album to showcase the vocals of Tim “Ripper” Owens, which hits stores tomorrow. Owens – who replaced Rob Halford after he quit in 1993 – had previously fronted a Judas Priest cover band, and his story is the basis of the upcoming Mark Wahlberg/Jennifer Aniston movie, Rock Star. McLean Extends Rehab – Backstreet Boys Reschedule Tour


Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean has extended his time in rehabilitation for two weeks, forcing the teen-pop phenomena to postpone their North American tour for a second time, the group’s members said on Tuesday. McLean, 23, is in a 30-day treatment program for alcoholism, depression and other problems, and the group was set to return to the road next Tuesday. Smash Mouth Singer's Infant Son Dies


Tragedy struck Smash Mouth this weekend when singer Steve Harwell’s 8-month-old son, Presley Scott Harwell, died of complications from acute lymphatic leukemia. The child had been ill with the disease for only a few weeks, a publicist for the band’s label said. Sears And Brian McKnight Announce Partnership For Fall Tour


Brian McKnight has been tapped to join the Sears, Roebuck and Co. family for a nationwide tour that coincides with the release of McKnight’s latest Motown project, “superhero,” streeting Aug. 28.
