Puddle Of Mudd Line Up Tour, Radio Festivals


Ass-smacking enthusiast Wes Scantlin and his Puddle of Mudd bandmates will launch a monthlong headlining tour October 18 in Atlanta, but they’ll also take time to pay back some of the radio stations spinning their hit “Control.” Prior to the tour’s launch, Puddle of Mudd will play WAVF-FM’s Wavefest in Charleston, South Carolina, on Sunday with 311, the Long Beach Dub Allstars and others. 'NSYNC, Shaggy, Tim McGraw To Perform At Billboard Awards


‘NSYNC, Shaggy and Tim McGraw are slated to perform at the 2001 Billboard Music Awards, taking place December 4 in Las Vegas. The event will be held at the MGM Grand Garden and broadcast live on Fox, according to the trade magazine. The Billboard Music Awards are given out based on year-end sales. John Mellencamp will be given the 2001 Billboard Century Award, the magazine’s highest recognition for distinguished creative achievement, at the ceremony. Nickelback Announces Tour, Continues Chart Success


Nickelback has booked a headlining tour, which will start in Seattle on October 30 and wind down on December 11. The band’s platinum-certified sophomore album Silver Side Up is holding steady at Number Five on the Billboard 200 album chart, and the single “How You Remind Me” is holding on to Number One on the Billboard Modern Rock Chart. Sting Announces Concerts To Support Upcoming Live Effort


Sting has announced initial concert dates in support of his upcoming live album, All This Time, due November 20. The singer-songwriter is set to play a half-dozen shows across the country, beginning on December 6 at New York’s Beacon Theatre, according to his official website (sting.com). Other dates on the initial schedule include two shows in Colorado (Colorado Springs, December 9; Denver, December 10), a pair of charity-related shows in Los Angeles (December 12, 13), and one in Las Vegas (December 14). Cher Follows Up "Believe"


Cher is planning her return to the music scene this fall, releasing her new single “The Music’s No Good Without You,” in Europe November 5th. The diva’s label are banking on the same strategy they used on Cher’s comeback effort, 1998’s Believe, taking the new single and upcoming LP, Living Proof to Europe first, before bringing it stateside early next year. Brian McKnight, Elton John, Don Henley, Tim McGraw, Dennis Miller, and Ray Romano are scheduled to take part in Andre Agassi’s sixth Grand Slam For Children at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The Grand Slam For Children benefits the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit organization that assists at-risk youth in Las Vegas, Agassi’s hometown. P.O.D. To Visit Youth Of The Nation On Tour


On the heels of their hit single “Alive,” which has served as an inspirational anthem in recent weeks, San Diego’s rap-rockers P.O.D. are hitting the road to support their second major-label album, Satellite.
