Alicia Keys Maps Out Solo Headlining Tour


Alicia Keys, who opened up for Maxwell’s tour of theaters earlier this year, is going back on that circuit for a solo outing starting January 22 in Wallingford, Connecticut. “This year has been incredible, and I am so looking forward to getting out and playing live around the country,” Keys said in a statement announcing the 28-date tour. “It gives me an opportunity to be intimate with the people that have supported my music, and I can’t wait.” Jay-Z stated that getting up close and personal with fans was the reason he took his Blueprint Lounge Tour to smaller outlets.… Read more »

DMX To Receive Special Award


Rapper-actor DMX will receive a special award Tuesday night (December 4) at the 2001 Billboard Music Awards ceremony at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The award recognizes DMX as the first artist ever to have his first four albums debut at Number One on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The rapper’s latest album, The Great Depression, is currently Number 24 on the Billboard 200 albums chart after debuting in the top spot. Hoobastank Heads Back Out On The Road, Talks Incubus


After several days off back home in Southern California, Hoobastank hits the road again as of tonight (November 29) in support of its self-titled Island Records debut album, featuring the single “Crawling In The Dark.” The group plays at Graceland in Seattle and has shows lined up through December 20 across the West and Midwest parts of the country. The B-52's Go "Nude"


Nearly twenty-five years after the B-52’s formed in Athens, Georgia, the band’s career will get an overview with the January 15th release of the double-disc anthology Nude on the Moon.
