The World Comes Down on AAR November 18


The countdown is on. The All-American Rejects are scheduled to release their eagerly awaited third album When the World Comes Down, on November 18th on DGC/Interscope/Doghouse. The new album follows-up the RIAA double-platinum Move Along, released July 2005. Legal Problem Delays Hawthorne Heights Album


Hawthorne Heights have written two dozen songs and have a producer ready to hit the studio to start recording them, but the Dayton, Ohio band have to get out of legal limbo before they can move forward. The emo/punk quintet have done some pre-production work for their third album with producer Howard Benson (Daughtry, Hoobastank) and are hoping to start more extensive work on the tracks as soon as they can, but they’re still entangled in a legal battle with Victory Records. Diverse spring tours target college kids


Stress runs rampant among college kids this time of year, but the Door to Dorm tour, the College Mega tour and Campus Invasion Music Festival are aiming to give students some springtime musical relief. Hinder will headline the Door to Dorm outing, which hits 17 colleges and three music festivals starting April 13 at the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown, Pa. The group’s drummer, Cody Hanson, jokes that nonstop worldwide touring for its 2005 album “Extreme Behavior” has made the quintet “severe alcoholics,” but that won’t prevent the Oklahoma City act from throwing a party for its hardcore college fan… Read more »

Guns N' Roses in Africa


Guns N’ Roses have been confirmed as the headline act for the My Coke Fest 2007, a music festival set to take place in South Africa. The reformed rockers will be playing Africa for the first time in their careers at two dates, starting April 27th at Johannesburg’s New Market Racecourse and Cape Town’s Kenilworth Racecourse on May 1. Velvet Revolver Return To The Road In March, Write New LP In Transit


Maybe Velvet Revolver can use that Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy as a hood ornament on their tour bus on the upcoming Electric Wonderland Show Tour. The veteran rockers will kick off their latest round of North American stops on March 22 in Montreal, with arena dates currently slated to run through a May 25 show in Miami, according to a spokesperson for the group. Good Charlotte to Perform at MTV Benefit


BANGKOK, Thailand – Pop stars from around the world will appear live or contribute taped performances to a Feb. 3 concert sponsored by MTV to support tsunami relief work.
