Green Day Announces First Stadium Shows


Burbank, Ca – On the heels of selling out the U.K.’s Milton Keynes Stadium, Grammy Award-winning trio Green Day will perform three stadiums this summer/fall as part of an extensive North American tour. Starbucks Says Expands Music Focus to New Artists


Los Angeles – Starbucks Corp. said on Monday it will start selling music by unknown artists in a move that strays from the chain’s reliance on big-name stars to sell CDs at its popular coffee shops. Starbucks – whose success selling music by well-known artists including Ray Charles and Alanis Morissette has made it a thorn in the side of traditional music retailers – next month will begin marketing and selling a CD by up-and-coming rock group Antigone Rising at its more than 4,400 U.S. stores. White Stripes Finish New Album In Two Weeks


Only two weeks after they started, White Stripes have finished recording their new album and are planning its release date. Jack White planned on finishing up this release fairly quickly in his home studio with Meg White. The pair completed the recording on March 18, after recording a song a day. They still have to mix and master it, according to NME.com. The band recorded their last record, Elephant, in 10 days and White completed Loretta Lynn ‘s Grammy-winning Van Lear Rose in 12 days. Lil’ Kim, in trouble for a lotta lying, could be heading to the Big House real soon. The pint-size rap diva was convicted Thursday of federal perjury charges for fibbing to a grand jury about a 2001 shootout in front of a Manhattan radio station involving members of her entourage and a rival hip-hop crew.
