The nerds are finally back together again! In our favorite place, the idobi radio studio, we start off our show by recapping TS’s one on one job interview with Berner from the Cookies brand! Then we pontificate over what exactly is going on in the California market that’s making it so hard to be in the biz of cannabis. Plus we talk about the feds and the all the cannabis documents released, including the infamous rescheduling of cannabis. So don’t panic! It’s organic!
Following the release of one of their latest tracks, the August 2023 single “DEADZONE,” Finnish nu-metal group Blind Channel stopped by the idobi Radio Studios in Los Angeles. The six-piece—comprised of Joel Hokka (vocals), Niko Moilanen (vocals), Joonas Porko (guitarist), Olli Matela (bassist), Tommi Lalli (drummer), and Aleksi Kaunisvesi (percussionist)—skillfully deconstructs the track to expose its bare bones. In contrast to the original’s larger-than-life format and sound, the group seamlessly peels back the layers of the track, allowing the rawness and vulnerability of the single to take center stage. Exchanging the intricate instrumentation, heavy beats, and expansive production for the… Read more »

Hey, Footballhead! The Chicago alt-rock band, which includes The Academy Is…’s Adam Siska and suburban indie rockstar, Snow Ellet dropped their single “Like A Blister.” The track comes from their upcoming debut album, Overthinking Everything, which arrives on March 1 via Tiny Engines. Vocalist Ryan Nolen started the project in 2022, and the latest song encapsulates a montage of melancholia. This is the third single off of their upcoming LP, and relishes the dreariness of a winter in a prominent early 2000s young adult, indie flick. The opening guitar riff is reminiscent of alt-radio faves Everclear and Gin Blossoms. It… Read more »
