Katy Perry continues to avoid Travis talk

In the weeks following her split with boyfriend Travis McCoy, Katy Perry has remained silent about the subject, a move which is entirely understandable, if not particularly, you know, Perry-like. So, when MTV News caught up with her on the Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles, we took the opportunity to ask her about her newly single status. And, somewhat surprisingly, she answered. Sort of. “Well, it’s a new year, and I’m very focused,” she said when asked about the Gym Class Heroes frontman. “I have a tour coming up on January 23 called the Hello Katy Tour, and I’m… Read more »

Katy Perry is the new Avril Lavigne?

LOS ANGELES — Don’t get Katy Perry twisted: She absolutely loves being pop’s quirky poster girl, the wild child who doesn’t censor herself and causes raised eyebrows with songs like “Ur So Gay” and “I Kissed a Girl.” But for all her success over the last year, Perry is hoping that songs like her most recent No. 1, “Hot n Cold,” show she has more to offer than kitsch and controversy. “It’s my personality, which is up and down and sassy and cheeky,” says Perry, who recently became a Grammy nominee “You’re gonna see me with all kinds of different… Read more »

Radio companies took a giant step forward in 2008 by embracing online and mobile applications like never before. No company increased its commitment to the digital space in 2008 more than CBS Radio which announced a content and advertising partnership with AOL Music in March. Since then, 150 CBS Radio stations and 200 AOL Music Internet stations have become powered by a CBS Radio… Read more »
