The Backstreet Boys release their first-ever greatest-hits package, titled The Hits: Chapter One, on Tuesday (October 30). The 13-song collection includes the group’s new single “Drowning” and also comprises songs from the group’s 1996 album Backstreet Boys, 1999’s Millennium, and last year’s Black & Blue. In conjunction with the album release, the group will also release a VHS/DVD video titled The Video Hits: Chapter One on November 6. Rounding out its programming lineup as it launches the nation’s first digital satellite radio service, XM Satellite Radio’s “NASCAR Rig” will tour the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit throughout the Southern United States this fall. XM launched its service Sept. 25 in its two lead markets and expanded throughout the entire Southwest and Southeast in mid-October. THQ Inc. today announced a worldwide, exclusive agreement with Britney Brands Inc. to publish games featuring one of the biggest names in pop entertainment, Britney Spears. The agreement grants THQ exclusive rights to publish Britney Spears games for Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo Game Boy Advance and PC through 2005.
