Eminem Dangles His 'Baby' Jacko-Style, Gives Nauseated Fan His 'M'

Eminem has one-upped Michael Jackson. Spoofing the pop star’s infamous baby-dangling incident that took place last November in Germany, Slim Shady actually tossed his “baby” up in the air on Tuesday in Glasgow, Scotland. No, it wasn’t his daughter, Hailie – this baby was a life-size blonde-haired baby doll, seemingly masked, which a surgical-mask-wearing Em held above the crowd, tossed up, and caught by its head. Of course, he was on a first-floor balcony at the Arthouse Hotel, so the doll was in no danger. Just in case that stunt seemed a little nasty, Eminem practiced a little preemptive redemption… Read more »

Blink-182, Outkast, Bone Crusher, Joe Budden Score Tracks On 'Madden 2004'

Quarterback sacks and goal-line stances aren’t the only kinds of hits you’ll find on “Madden 2004.” Blink-182, Outkast and Nappy Roots will contribute new songs to the football video game’s soundtrack, while Joe Budden, AFI and the Roots offer previously released tunes, according to an Electronic Arts spokesperson. In the case of Blink-182, “Madden 2004” will be the first place to hear “Action,” a song off the trio’s forthcoming Use Your Erection I and II, while the Roots remixed their “Rock You,” off last year’s Phrenology, exclusively for the soundtrack. While piloting the Patriots, leading the Lions, guiding the Giants… Read more »

Even though it’s due in stores today, KRS-One has done everything he can to make sure nobody buys his latest album – at least not yet. “This is insane, this is insane, this is so egregious, this is so devious,” KRS-One fumed on Monday, angry at Koch Records’ plan to release an album by him called Kristyles. The Bronx battle king, alleging that the record Koch was putting out not only did a disservice to him as an artist and a businessman, but that it was an affront to hip-hop culture as a whole, won a court injunction on Monday… Read more »

Velvet Revolver Takes Drugs Bust in Its Stride

After surviving the temper tantrums of their previous lead singer, three former members of rock band Guns N’ Roses won’t let a mere drugs bust derail their fledgling supergroup. As the new band, Velvet Revolver, generates early buzz with its first new song, the legal and health problems of frontman Scott Weiland have already cast doubt over its prospects. But bassist Duff McKagan told reporters Thursday, an hour before the band played its first public performance, that Weiland’s woes were a fact of life. “Rock ‘n’ roll is not a safe thing,” McKagan said. “It shouldn’t be a safe thing.… Read more »

The time has come. A fact’s a fact. Peter Garrett’s quit Midnight Oil and he’s not going back. But his name could yet appear on an election ballot paper.
