Irish Rockers U2 Return To America For Fall Tour


Irish rock band U2, which just finished a European tour, will return to North America in October for 15 arena dates, the group’s promoter said. The tour will begin on Oct. 10 at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and will conclude on Nov. 18 in Las Vegas, according to a statement issued on Monday by Clear Channel Entertainment, a unit of Clear Channel Worldwide. U2 will also play Chicago, Baltimore, New York City, East Rutherford, Providence, Philadelphia, Austin, Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Oakland and the Canadian cities of Montreal and Hamilton. Live Signs On For Fall Jane's Addiction Trek


In support of its forthcoming album fifth album, Live will hit the road in October with Jane’s Addiction, according to a source close to the band. While the dates for the jaunt are still not set in stone, a likely kickoff date of Oct. 2 in Boston has been tentatively set for the tour. The trek was originally set to begin on Aug. 15 and a tentative routing was released in June but it was later postponed. 311 To Headline North America In Late Summer/Early Fall


Funk/punk/rap-rockers 311 will follow their summer on the Warped Tour with an extensive headlining tour across North America. The group will kick off a two-month swing in support of its latest album, From Chaos, at the Street Scene in San Diego on September 8 and play more than three dozen shows through the end of October. The trek culminates in a Halloween performance at the Universal Amphitheater in the group’s home base of Los Angeles. Crows Set Fall Tour


The Counting Crows will road test material from their upcoming record when they head out on a thirty-four-date tour later this month. The road trip kicks off on August 18th in Englewood, Colorado and wraps up in Lawrence, Kansas on November 7th. Meanwhile, the Crows will continue working on their follow-up to 1999’s This Desert Life, due out next spring. Incubus To Tour In Fall


Incubus will release their fourth album, Morning View, on October 23rd. Papa Roach DVD Due In Fall


Papa Roach will release a DVD this fall. The work is intended to serve as a companion piece to their break-out, triple platinum album Infest. The DVD will be a rock-umentary of sorts chronicling the past two years surrounding P-Roach’s success. It will include behind-the-scenes footage, TV appearances and the “Last Resort,” “Broken Home” and “Between Angels and Insects” videos. Smash Mouth Singer's Infant Son Dies


Tragedy struck Smash Mouth this weekend when singer Steve Harwell’s 8-month-old son, Presley Scott Harwell, died of complications from acute lymphatic leukemia. The child had been ill with the disease for only a few weeks, a publicist for the band’s label said.
