Fall Out Boy Attempt Guinness Record: Play Concert in all 7 Continents


Multi-platinum Island Records group Fall Out Boy announced today that they are attempting to set a Guinness World Record, for the first band to play a concert in all seven continents, in a time frame under 9 months.   The band kicked off the record in Johannesburg, South Africa late last summer, then toured through Europe, Asia, Australia and North America last fall.   The South American show will take place in Santiago Chile on March 23, followed up by King George, Island in Antarctica on March 25, where they hope to receive the Guinness World Record. “****Live In Phoenix”: Fall Out Boy DVD Arrives April 1


Multi-platinum Island Records group Fall Out Boy kicks off the new year with “****LIVE IN PHOENIX,” their first long-form CD+DVD two-disc package, set to arrive in stores on April 1st.   The core of the program will be their full-length Honda Civic Tour concert of June 2007 from the Cricket Pavilion in Phoenix, with all 22 songs contained on both the CD and DVD layers. Fall Out Boy: Ashlee Is "Nothing Short of Awesome"


Ashlee Simpson is no more of a threat to Fall Out Boy’s success than Pete Wentz’s affinity for eyeliner. So says the band’s guitarist Joe Trohman, who didn’t take kindly to a New York Daily News gossip item about a source telling OK! that the younger Simpson sis was “poison” to the pop-punk rockers, and could possibly be part of the reason why 2007’s Infinity on High didn’t score any Grammy nods. It’s an increasingly diverse club, the old celebrity sex tape clique. "Pop Up Video" back with Gwen Stefani and Fall Out Boy


VH1 is resurrecting back its “Pop Up Video” series in a mobile-only format starting Monday, the music cable network said. The original “Pop,” which stopped airing in 2002 on the Viacom-owned channel, featured music videos with informational bubbles that popped up with facts and trivia about the artists, song or related subject matter. The new installment of original videos, “Pop Up Video to Go,” will be offered cross carrier exclusively on VH1’s mobile network and will be updated weekly.
