Sonic Foundry's ACIDplanet To Host And Power Depeche Mode "Exciter'' Remix Contest


Sonic Foundry Inc. announced its partnership with Reprise Records to create and host the Depeche Mode “Exciter” Remix contest at Sonic Foundry’s ACIDplanet.com website. Two tracks from Depeche Mode’s latest release, “Exciter,” will be available on June 18 for remixing at ACIDplanet (www.acidplanet.com). The first single, “Dream On,” is already a staple of playlists across the country. The second single, “I Feel Loved,” will be going to radio soon. FUBU Records Signs Detroit-Based Rapper Drunken Master To Recording Contract


In what is being touted as a major coup, FUBU Records has signed the Detroit-based rapper Drunken Master to a recording contract. FUBU beat out a number of other labels to sign the highly courted artist, whose song “Fifty Playas Deep” is currently #1 on Detroit radio. The deal represents the label’s first signing through its joint venture arrangement with Universal Records. Produced, written and performed by Drunken Master, “Fifty Playas Deep” is an anthem to the streets. One-Hit Wonder Band Disses YUNGBLUD & Aerosmith’s Ozzy Osbourne Tribute


At the 2025 VMAs this past weekend, YUNGBLUD joined Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt to honor Ozzy Osbourne—The Prince of Darkness—through the thing he loved most: music.
