*NSYNC's Lance Bass Recovering From Minor Surgery

*NSYNC singer Lance Bass recently underwent an outpatient “surgical procedure” to correct an irregular heartbeat, his publicist told Reuters on Thursday (May 16). The surgery was an outpatient procedure and Bass is doing well. The singer’s heart condition was “not even remotely life-threatening,” Bass’ publicist told Reuters. “It’s something he had wanted to correct for a long time, but being that… Read more »

Lifehouse Feeling British With 'Stanley'

Lifehouse has turned to the U.K. for inspiration for its upcoming second album, which now boasts the odd title Stanley Climvfall. Frontman Jason Wade says some of that country’s classic rock artists, as well as some newer favorites, were on the band’s mind when they entered the studio. “All of us started listening to a little bit more Led Zeppelin and the Beatles, so I think that it’s sounds a little less American, a little more influenced by, like, Coldplay, Radiohead, Pink Floyd.” Lifehouse is approximately two weeks away from completing the album, Wade says, with a release from DreamWorks… Read more »

Bad-boy rap artist Eminem has lobbed a four-letter word at Vice President Dick Cheney’s wife on his upcoming album, but the second lady is hardly running away to a secure, undisclosed location. The Detroit-based recording star, a favorite target of Lynne Cheney in her criticism of the recording industry, unleashes the offensive word against her on the “White America” track to his soon-to-be released LP, “The Eminem Show.” She fired back through her spokeswoman, again condemning his lyrics as a “glorification of violence” against women and homosexuals. Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, won three Grammys last… Read more »
