Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons showed up Thursday night in a pink suit, as did Dre of Outkast. Rapper 50 Cent wore a gray suit accessorized with a diamond necklace – and actress Vivica A. The Jagermeister Fall Music Tour is coming, and heavy metal icons, Slayer, will lead the assault! Produced and promoted by Clear Channel Entertainment, the tour will let loose on October 8th in Minneapolis, MN and finish up in Los Angeles on November 29th. A Static Lullaby are a California-based hard rock band that are hard to categorize. Sometimes fitting into in the emo or punk category and dabbling with shrill screams and metal guitars, the group’s influences are equally based in hardcore and emotional melodic music, teetering o n the brink of brutality while acknowledging their sensitive side. The California Supreme Court ruled Monday that courts may block Internet users from posting codes that could be used to illegally copy DVD movies, in a case that pitted trade secret rights against free speech. The justices did not resolve whether the code was in fact a trade secret, leaving that for a lower court to determine. They did rule, however, that they would not tolerate the posting of legitimate trade secrets online and reversed a lower court that said disseminating trade secrets was protected free speech. Most of the band’s songs address bad relationships and broken hearts, but details of the scarring experiences are often missing.
