Foster Addresses Berklee Graduates


Record producer David Foster told the 662 graduates at Berklee College of Music to expand their horizons while pursuing their artistic passions. “Be open to things other than music,” said Foster, who has won 14 Grammy awards. “Remember the first words you learned in grade school: Look and listen. Detroit Officials Sue Dr. Dre Over Up In Smoke Tour DVD


Dr. Dre and others affiliated with a DVD recorded during 2000’s Up in Smoke Tour were hit with an invasion of privacy lawsuit Wednesday from several existing and former Detroit city officials who claim they were secretly filmed. Greg Bowens, former press secretary for former Mayor Dennis Archer, Detroit Recreation Department official Phillip Talbert and three Detroit Police officers allege that hidden cameras illegally captured a private conversation backstage at Joe Louis Arena about an explicit video the officials banned from Detroit and nearby Auburn Hills shows. Dream Street Parents Sue


The parents of the members of Dream Street have filed a lawsuit against the teen boy band’s creators, alleging that their children were exposed to booze, women and pornography. The lawsuit, filed in state Supreme Court in Manhattan, alleges that Louis Baldonieri and Brian Lukow “have engaged in a wide range of conduct and activities that plainly threaten and impair the minors’ well-being,” according to an affidavit from band manager John Stuart. Eminem dresses up like Osama bin Laden and spoofs “The Sally Jesse Raphael Show” in the video for his new single, “Without Me.” Slim Shady shot the clip for the first single from The Eminem Show in Los Angeles last weekend with director Joseph Kahn (Britney Spears, DMX), according to his Interscope Records spokesperson. “I only heard it quite recently,” says French composer Jacques Loussier. “In fact, my son had heard it and told me that was my music played on this record, so that is why I’ve been listening to it.
