'8 Mile' Rapper Shot, Recovering


A Detroit man who appeared in the Eminem movie “8 Mile” is recovering after being shot in the stomach on the film’s opening night. Ali Miyzaan, 26, said he was shot about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 8 in the parking lot of Phoenix Theaters, which is on Eight Mile road in Detroit. Grohl Directing New Foo Fighters Video, Band Records Covers


The first single from the long-awaited Foo Fighters album, 1X1 (One By One), is “All My Life.” Foo frontman Dave Grohl is set to direct the video shoot for the clip next week. Sharon Osbourne Recovering From Colon Cancer Surgery


Following a successful surgical procedure to treat an operable form of cancer, Sharon Osbourne is recovering and the Ozzfest tour will go on as expected. Osbourne, 50, underwent surgery for colon cancer last week in an undisclosed hospital near Los Angeles, according to the Osbournes’ spokesperson. Her doctors expect her to make a full recovery. Due to the hospitalization, the first pair of Ozzfest shows – July 6 in Bristow, Virginia, and July 7 in Pittsburgh – was postponed. *NSYNC singer Lance Bass recently underwent an outpatient “surgical procedure” to correct an irregular heartbeat, his publicist told Reuters on Thursday (May 16). The procedure was performed several weeks ago in order for the singer to be able to pass the intensive training required to become the world’s first pop singer to take a Russian Soyuz rocket to the International Space Station.
