Pearl Jam covering Who, Young on fan club single


Pearl Jam’s annual holiday single for members of its Ten Club fan organization will feature a pair of classic rock covers: the Who’s “Love Reign O’er Me” and Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.” The Who cover appears in the Adam Sandler/Don Cheadle film “Reign Over Me,” which opens March 9 in North American theaters. The Young track was recorded at the Make Poverty History concert in Melbourne, Australia, last November with U2’s Bono and the Edge guesting. Now eldest daughter, Aimee Osbourne is the latest member of the Osbourne clan to become afflicted with a health ailment. P.O.D. Cover Artist Speaks Out On Christian Ban


Daniel Martin Diaz, the artist who did the cover art for P.O.D.’s new Payable On Death album, says it’s “ironic” that the album has been banned by 85 percent of Christian bookstores in the U.S., reportedly because the cover is “occult.” Diaz told Australia’s Undercover.com, “It’s quite ironic that throughout my art career, I have been censored by a reputable art publication and denied inclusion into art exhibitions because my work is too religious.
