On April 27 in Las Vegas, Sick New World 2024 was the stuff of metal lovers’ dreams. The massive fest was full of surprises, including a Bring Me The Horizon and BABYMETAL crossover, System Of A Down dedicated “Lonely Day” to the late Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, and more. “Diamonds Aren’t Forever,” but the memory of Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes and Static Dress’ Olli Appleyard is. On January 17, at their stop in Liverpool, England, Sykes announced to the crowd, “Who wants to hear an oldie?” and brought out Appleyard to join him for the song.
