Atlantic Taps Scarpulla Senior Director of Product Development


Atlantic Vice President of Marketing & Product Development Lee Stimmel has announced that Madelyn Scarpulla has joined Atlantic Records as senior director of product development, and will be based at the company’s New York headquarters. Scarpulla was most recently Senior Director of Marketing at Columbia Records. Atlantic Promotes Tracy Zamot to VP of Media Relations


Tracy Zamot has been promoted to Vice President, East Coast Media Relations for Atlantic Records, based at the company’s New York headquarters. The announcement was made by Atlantic Senior Vice President of Media & Artist Relations Patti Conte, to whom she will report. In her new post, Zamot will continue to work closely with Vice President of Media Relations Caroline Prutzman. Zamot has been with Atlantic since 1992, most recently serving as senior director of media relations. Atlantic Records names co-presidents


Atlantic Records has named longtime label executives Craig Kallman and Ron Shapiro as the first co-presidents of the Warner Music Group imprint, filling a post that has been vacant since co-chairman and CEO Val Azzoli Azzoli held it six years ago. Both execs will report to Azzoli, who shares his own post with venerable label co-founder Ahmet Ertegun. Maverick, Atlantic Records cut jobs


Maverick Records and Atlantic Records, two labels owned by AOL Time Warner Inc., said Monday they have cut more than 30 jobs combined over the past week. A spokesman for Warner Music said there had been 16 job cuts at Maverick Records over the last week, while Atlantic has also cut about 15 jobs. These latest job cuts come as industry watchers speculate that AOL Time Warner is looking to cut deeper in the music division after a massive cost-cutting campaign following the merger of AOL and Time Warner, which resulted in the elimination of over 600 jobs over the… Read more »
