My Chemical Romance Shares Official Statement Following Bob Bryar’s Passing


On November 29, TMZ broke the news of the passing of My Chemical Romance‘s former drummer Bob Bryar. On December 2, the band shared an official statement on Instagram. The band shared, “It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Bob Bryar, our former bandmate and an important part of the history of My Chemical Romance. Former My Chemical Romance Drummer Bob Bryar Dies Aged 44


According to a report coming directly from TMZ, Bob Bryar, the former drummer of My Chemical Romance, has passed away at the age of 44. Bryar was the group’s longest-standing drummer and served with MCR from 2004 to 2010. He performed on The Black Parade, The Black Parade Is Dead!, and Conventional Weapons while receiving songwriting credits on Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Born on December 31, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois, Bryar initially trained as a jazz drummer and studied at a performing arts high school.
