The nerds start out a bit on the ranty side, and agree that all you need is love (and some monies) to grow top shelf weed, and wonder why it’s so different from state to state now that it’s regulated–why wouldn’t it be more consistent? The world may never know. Then we go into some breaking news and a final Huff and Puff from Ohio that is really bumming us out. Rain City Drive has reimagined their latest single, “Frozen,” via Thriller Records. The alt-hardcore act originally released the single in September but has given it an almost holiday-edge decoration to it. The first version was featured on Apple Music’s Breaking Hard Rock playlist. Reworking songs isn’t new; however, the band incorporated post-hardcore sounds with poppy beats and melodies in “Frozen (Reimagined)” while sprinkling in some holiday belles, which helps in slowing down the quicker pacing of the original. Following the release of their eighth studio album, 152, Taking Back Sunday has announced their massive 2024 North American tour. The tour, which kicks off on May 19 in New Orleans, LA, will feature Citizen as support across the run. “Man, just taking it all in. Canadian twin sibling duo Softcult is bringing their mall goth sonics to the States in early 2024 with support from Superbloom and Glixen. Kicking off on February 8 in Boston at Rockwood Music Hall and concluding in Buffalo at Mohawk Place on February 23, this will be an expansive tour throughout much of the East Coast.
