Lit Set to Launch New 'Atomic' Release on October 16

Pink Floyd Offer "Best"


Echoes, Pink Floyd’s long-awaited “best of” compilation, will hit stores November 6th. The album will include twenty-seven of Floyd’s classic tracks – over 140 minutes of music – mixed together into a single piece. James Guthrie, the band’s longtime producer, did the mixing for the two-disc set, which will also be available on vinyl and cassette. J.Lo Reportedly Set To Wed Dancer


Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez plans to marry choreographer Cris Judd on Saturday, just seven months after she publicly split from rap impresario Sean “Puffy” Combs, according to New York tabloid reports Friday. Napster, Publishers Reach Preliminary Settlement


American songwriters and music publishers have reached preliminary agreement with the on-line file sharing service Napster to settle the class-action lawsuit currently pending in federal court in California. The agreement includes terms under which the songwriters and music publishers will license their music to Napster’s new membership-based service. If music can be a great escape from the cares of the day, whatever they be, then Blink-182’s fun show on Wednesday, rescheduled from a week earlier in light of recent events, was a perfect getaway. Britney Spears will release her 3rd album, Britney on November 6 worldwide. The first single, “I’m A Slave 4 U,” will impact CHR and Rhythm Crossover radio on September 24. The song was written and produced by The Neptunes. The video, directed by Frances Lawrence, will debut on MTV’s Making The Video on September 24. Weezer Set New Dates


While Weezer prepare to kick off the most recent leg of their tour in support of their third self-titled release, better known as “The Green Album,” the band is already looking ahead to its next record, which is tentatively set for a May 2002 release.
