Aguilera Set for Live TV Performance


Christina Aguilera will star in her own live performance television special on the U.S. WB network. Taped earlier this month at London’s Wembley Arena, the one-hour “Stripped… Live in the U.K.” will air Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. ET. According to Aguilera’s official Web site (http://www.christina-a.com), the concert will be released Jan. 13 on DVD. After a stint hosting last week’s MTV Europe Awards, Aguilera was forced to end her U.K. tour early, canceling Nov. 10 -11 shows in Newcastle and Manchester, England, respectively, due to illness. Coming soon to a Windows PC near you: Apple Computer Inc.’s. popular iTunes online music store, which analysts say will join an already crowded market that could mute its chances of repeating the success of the Macintosh-only version. 172 Limp Bizkit Fans Sue Over Shortened Sanitarium Set


When Fred Durst led Limp Bizkit off the stage prematurely during a Summer Sanitarium show outside Chicago, it was likely to the pleasure of those who showered the singer with garbage and boos. Bizkit fans, however, felt cheated to such an extent that they’re suing. An attorney representing 172 displeased concertgoers filed a class-action complaint Wednesday (October 8) in Cook County District Court against the band and its corporate arm, Limp Bizness. Incubus Get Charitable With Series Of Official Bootlegs


Incubus have set a February 10 release date for their fifth studio album, but one of the new songs is available now. A live version of “Pistola” is featured on Live at Lollapalooza 2003, the first in a new series of sanctioned bootleg CDs available only at www.incubusbootlegs.com. Phish Sets Eight-Show Fall Trek


Phish will eschew an extensive fall North American tour in favor of an eight-show run, which will include a New Year’s Eve show at American Airlines Arena in Miami. The outing will also play host to Phish’s 20th anniversary concert, set for Dec. 2 at Boston’s FleetCenter. Additional stops on the tour include Uniondale, N.Y. (Nov. 28), Philadelphia (Nov. 29), Albany, N.Y. (Dec. 1) and three additional shows in Miami (Dec. 28-30). Girl, 12, Settles Piracy Suit for $2,000


A 12-year-old girl in New York who was among the first to be sued by the record industry for sharing music over the Internet is off the hook after her mother agreed Tuesday to pay $2,000 to settle the lawsuit, apologizing and admitting that her daughter’s actions violated U.S. copyright laws. The hurried settlement involving Brianna LaHara, an honors student, was the first announced one day after the Recording Industry Association of America filed 261 such lawsuits across the country. Aaliyah's Parents Settle Plane Crash Suit


The parents of R&B singer and actress Aaliyah have reached an undisclosed settlement in a negligence lawsuit over her death in a 2001 plane crash, family attorneys said. A chartered Cessna 402B carrying Aaliyah and eight others crashed shortly after takeoff on a flight from Marsh Harbour in the Bahamas to the Miami suburb of Opa-locka. Investigators believed the plane was 700 pounds overloaded. Hoobastank Guitarist Suffers Head Injury; Tour Off


The guitarist with modern rock band Hoobastank is in serious but stable condition following surgery for a head injury sustained during a motorbike accident earlier this week in Myrtle Beach, S.C..
