Ahead of the release of the quiet pleasures EP, arriving on February 21 via AWAL and Wichita Recordings, Glixen has unveiled the towering new single “All Tied Up.” “‘all tied up’ is about feeling completely consumed by someone,” vocalist Aislinn Ritchie shares. “We definitely wanted the song to feel enveloping. There’s a subtle tension that builds throughout with a push and pull between the guitars and vocals. The song hits hard with its emotional depth, yet breathes with a playful melody.” Unfolding like a hazy daydream in a wash of ‘90s-inspired distorted guitars and thunderous drums, the track fully embraces… Read more »

Chicago’s premier pop-punkers Knuckle Puck just dropped their new single “Nice To Know Ya” to make your gray winter day a little brighter. This follows up their October 2024 release “On All Cylinders” out via Pure Noise Records. The band explains, “When writing ‘Nice to Know Ya,’ we tried to take an older approach by keeping it as out-of-the-box as we could. This includes uglier chords, a spoken verse, and push-pull lyrics to match the juxtaposition of the verse and chorus.” Knuckle Puck continues, “One of our goals for this band originally was to keep the listener guessing with our… Read more »
Magnolia Park is saying what we’re all thinking right now with their blistering yet equally empowering new ripper, “CULT.” “‘CULT’ is a song about gaining back your power from an oppressor, made to inspire people to stick up for what is right and not let themselves be taken advantage of,” the band shares. “This reflects in our story where Aurora and the Vampires have to stand up to a towering oppressive group called the ‘Shadow Cult.’” Alongside their latest track, Magnolia Park has revealed the release date for their third album, VAMP. This neo-gothic concept album is set to launch… Read more »
On January 22, Bowling For Soup shared a bittersweet message on social media platforms. Guitarist extraordinaire Chris Burney, 55, is permanently retiring from the band. Some recent medical developments, 30 years of rocking balls, and touring non-stop have made it difficult to continue. We are bummed to not have Chris by our sides, but absolutely support his decision.”… Read more »
