After kicking off the I Love You But I Chose The Maine tour in Las Vegas last week, The Maine welcomed Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance to their San Diego stop on Friday, March 27. A new theatre project involving My Chemical Romance may be in the works, according to comments made by director/playwright/actor John Cameron Mitchell that are currently circulating online. Mitchell—best known for creating and starring in the cult rock musical Hedwig And The Angry Inch and directing its film adaptation—revealed during a recent appearance that he is quietly developing a theatrical project with the band. After drawing record-breaking crowds and hosting the largest rock event in Ohio history in 2025, Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival is coming back with an even louder roar in 2026. The festival is slated to return to the Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, from Thursday through Sunday, May 14-17, and will feature over 140 artists performing across five stages. After embarking on a wildly successful stadium tour this summer and concluding the run with a headline set at Shaky Knees Fest this weekend, My Chemical Romance has announced The Black Parade 2026 tour, celebrating 20 years of their milestone album.
