After being convicted in 2013 of multiple sexual offenses—including the assault of several young children and possession of extreme child and animal pornography—former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins was sentenced to 29 years in prison. On the morning of October 11, 2025, Watkins was murdered by fellow inmates at HM Prison Wakefield. This is a developing story.

The Travis Barker-produced album features Alkaline Trio‘s Matt Skiba on “Love Letters Lost” and Avril Lavigne on “You Broke Me Too.” Lavigne says of the collab, “My friend Travis Barker called me up to say he was producing the new Yellowcard album and I really liked what I heard. Miles Kent, best known for his work as a touring guitar technician in acts such as Architects, While She Sleeps, Spiritbox, Creeper, and many more, has sadly passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Over the weekend, Sleeping With Sirens shared the unfortunate news that they’ll no longer be performing at When We Were Young Fest in Las Vegas on October 18 and 19. Frontman Kellin Quinn announced he would be stepping away to support his wife, Katelynne, as she undergoes surgery, wanting to be home during her recovery. Following the release of his 9-track collection, SABLE, fABLE, Bon Iver has issued the official music video for the track “Day One.” The chart-topping album, which was released earlier this year in April, marked Bon Iver’s first new record in six years.
