As showbiz celebrities and hired models watched in awe, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger let it loose during a rare solo concert at a tiny Los Angeles club Thursday. DMX, Fred Durst To Record Together Again


DMX and Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst are poised to come together once again, that is, if the Dark Man’s asthma doesn’t get in the way. X and Durst were supposed to hit New York’s Hit Factory studio on Friday to record a song for an upcoming compilation LP on DMX’s Bloodline label, as well as the soundtrack to the drama “Undisputed,” which stars Wesley Snipes, Ving Rhames and Master P. Vanilla Ice Returns With 'Bi-Polar'


Early ’90s superstar Vanilla Ice is back with a new album, Bi-Polar, which came out last week. Ice produced the set, which features guest appearances from Chuck D, La Tha Darkman, Insane Clown Posse, and Josh Brainard, formerly of Slipknot. Bi-Polar features eight hardcore tracks and 17 hip-hop tracks. Puddle Of Mudd Line Up Tour, Radio Festivals


Ass-smacking enthusiast Wes Scantlin and his Puddle of Mudd bandmates will launch a monthlong headlining tour October 18 in Atlanta, but they’ll also take time to pay back some of the radio stations spinning their hit “Control.” Prior to the tour’s launch, Puddle of Mudd will play WAVF-FM’s Wavefest in Charleston, South Carolina, on Sunday with 311, the Long Beach Dub Allstars and others. Staind Acoustic Performances Highlight Forthcoming DVD


Staind is getting ready to release a DVD, which will feature music videos, an acoustic session, and backstage interviews with the band. The still-untitled collection is tentatively scheduled for a November 20 release. Bono, Dupri, Durst All Have Own Ideas About 'What's Going On'


There’s a lot more going on with the all-star remake of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On,” including a rock version that will include the frontmen from Korn and Stone Temple Pilots. The release date for the Bono-organized, Jermaine Dupri-produced project has been bumped from December 1 to October 23, and there will now be an R&B version by Dupri, a slower version produced by Bono and a rock version manned by Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, according to the project’s publicist. Gorillaz Bag Six Berths For MTV Euro Nods


Gorillaz, the cartoon indie-beat band formed by Damon Albarn of the rock band Blur, picked up six nominations, including best group, in the eighth annual MTV Europe Music Awards noms, announced here Tuesday.
