LONDON —  Rap-rock outfit Limp Bizkit has reformed with the original line-up, following an eight-year hiatus. Limp Bizkit has canceled the Southeast Asian leg of their world tour, citing terrorism fears in the region, local media reported Wednesday. “The band wishes to extend their deepest apologies to their fans in Southeast Asia and promise to return once security for their fans can be assured,” concert promoter Michael Hosking told the Straits Times newspaper. The newspaper said the American rap-rock band cited U.S. State Department warnings of “increased security risks” for the no-show. Bizkit fans, however, felt cheated to such an extent that they’re suing. An attorney representing 172 displeased concertgoers filed a class-action complaint Wednesday (October 8) in Cook County District Court against the band and its corporate arm, Limp Bizness. While former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland thinks he will soon find a lead singer for his new outfit Eat The Day, Borland does not believe that his new band will ever be as big as Limp Bizkit. Borland, who recently traveled to England in the ongoing search for a vocalist for Eat The Day, said in an interview in Kerrang! magazine that he has narrowed down the list to three potential frontmen. Limp Bizkit is remaking its new album, which had been titled Bipolar. Frontman Fred Durst insists, however, that the album will still come out before its tour with Metallica, Linkin Park, Mudvayne and Deftones begins on July 4 in Michigan. After a nationwide talent search failed to yield a replacement for guitarist Wes Borland, Limp Bizkit has chosen former Snot axeman Mike Smith as his successor. Smith made his Bizkit debut last Sunday, when the group played live as part of Wrestlemania XIX in Seattle. “We really like jamming with Mike,” Bizkit frontman Fred Durst said on the band’s official Web site (http://www.limpbizkit.com). “He’s dope.
