Following the release of their album Sweet, Mayday Parade kicked off their highly anticipated Three Cheers For 20 Years anniversary tour in April. On May 1, Mayday Parade hit a tour stop in Dallas, and this time, they brought out a special guest. “Thank you for the love and support that has carried us through 20 years,” Derek Sanders said. “When we started in 2005, there were six members of this band. It’s mayday, aka May 1, aka Mayday Parade day! And to celebrate, the iconic sad boy pop-punkers have announced that they’ll be joining Warped Tour in DC and Long Beach. Mayday Parade is celebrating the release of their 8-track record Sweet in the coolest way: with their besties in Knuckle Puck. The pop-punkers collabed on track “Who’s Laughing Now” and even dropped a party-fueled music video. The band shared on social media, “We teamed up with @josephfran and a bunch of YOU to make this epic video, and honestly? It was chaos in the best way! Four Chord Music Festival is back with blink-182, AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Jawbreaker, and more! Valentine’s Day has passed, but love is still in the air with Mayday Parade‘s most recent single release, “Towards You.” Preceded by “By The Way” and “Pretty Good To Feel Something,” the song will appear on the band’s first album in a forthcoming trilogy release titled Sweet on April 18. Lead vocalist Derek Sanders shares, “‘Towards You’ is really just a simple love song. After blasting their new single via their trusty fan-signed tour van in front of Zia Records, The Maine has officially dropped “Touch” for all to enjoy. The track is accompanied with a music video featuring lead vocalist John O’Callaghan in all-white dancing through a green field under picture-perfect blue, cloudy skies. “Touch” shows off the band’s romantic, sexy side with the lyrics: “I like the way you say/You want me with your mouth closed/Forget the smoke alarm/Just open all the windows.” As far as sonics, The Maine keeps reinventing themselves, maturing and delving into their authentic selves with each track.… Read more »

This year marks a whopping five entire years of Sad Summer Festival. The fifth-anniversary tour is positively stacked.
