Kelly Osbourne Proves She's The Real Deal At NYC Concert

Kelly Osbourne proved she’s every bit her father’s daughter at her first full-fledged concert on Tuesday. Any questions about her authenticity – that recording her album, Shut Up, was simply the easiest way to boost her celebrity – were wiped away soon after she emerged beneath a giant pink neon sign that read “Kelly Osbourne,” visibly moved at the enthusiastic applause. Unlike her previous live performances – at a radio-sponsored festival and a “Tonight Show” gig – on Tuesday the crowd was all hers (the “I love you, Kelly” cries might have given it away), and she grabbed the reins… Read more »

As Justin Timberlake works on his solo album and Lance Bass prepares to go into space, Joey Fatone isn’t about to be the odd man out of ‘NSYNC. For his downtime during the boy band’s hiatus, Fatone’s broadening his acting résumé to include the Great White Way – as the lead in “Rent”. “It’s very exciting,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to do Broadway…. About a year ago I went and saw ‘Rent,’ and it was really cool, and I thought it would be a cool show to do. It’s so edgy and so based on real life. It’s something… Read more »

Supporters of the famed Stone Pony music club, which has fostered the careers of rock ‘n’ roll greats like Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith, vowed on Thursday to save the club from the wrecking ball. The developers will present their plan soon to the city council for approval. “Hell no, we won’t go,” said Domenic Santana, third owner of… Read more »

Britney Goes Bald, Plays Tiny Dancer, Gets Caught In The Rain At Tour Kickoff

Almost a week late, Britney Spears finally kicked off her Britney 2001 Tour Thursday night after the flu and a kink in her pre-production held her up. Obviously the fans who flooded the Nationwide Arena expected the concert to be all about Britney – the person, that is. And sure, she explored some personal issues/interests, appearing with a bald head at one point, bungee jumping and fighting off faceless nemeses during her performance, but the singer kept true to her promise to make a large portion of the show about Britney, the album. She previewed several cuts off of her… Read more »
