Japanese Breakfast Drops New Single “Mega Circuit”


Leading up to the March 21 arrival of their full-length record, For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), Japanese Breakfast has issued their latest single, “Mega Circuit.”  “‘Mega Circuit’ was one of the first songs I wrote, intent on making a creepier, more guitar-driven record,” frontwoman Michelle Zauner shares. “The song is sort of an examination of contemporary masculinity and explores a conflicted desire to embrace a generation that, in the absence of positive role models, has found refuge in violence and bigotry. Japanese Breakfast Performs “Orlando In Love” on The Tonight Show


Following the release of “Orlando In Love” last month, Japanese Breakfast took their latest offering to the stage of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform it live. The track is featured on the Michelle Zauner-led group’s forthcoming record, For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), which is scheduled to drop next month on March 21. Japanese Breakfast Releases “Orlando In Love” Video


On the heels of the release of “Orlando In Love” last week, their first new single off the highly anticipated album For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)—slated for a March 21 release, Japanese Breakfast has unveiled the track’s official music video. Frontwoman Michelle Zauner (formerly of the emo outfit Little Big League) shares, “‘Orlando in Love’ is made up of a hodgepodge of odd references.
