The Simpsons Kills Off Character After 35 Seasons


It’s time to pour one out, a Duff Beer, that is…because one Simpsons character has officially died. On a November 16 episode of the longest-running animated show, the writers wrote off none other than Alice Glick, the First Church organist. It was a quick death, as she died doing what she loved—playing the organ during Sunday worship. Limp Bizkit Bassist Sam Rivers Dies, Aged 48


Today, the rock world is mourning the loss of Sam Rivers, founding bassist of Limp Bizkit, who passed away at just 48 years old. Born on September 2, 1977, Rivers cofounded the band alongside drummer John Otto and lead vocalist Fred Durst in 1994. Rivers featured on all of Limp Bizkit’s six full-length albums, including their 1999 breakout album Significant Other and  2000’s Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water, which celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this week on October 16.
