Radiohead's "Rainbows" yields pot of gold


British rock band Radiohead scored its second No. 1 album on the U.S. pop charts on Wednesday with a release that was initially sold on the Internet under a revolutionary “name-your-own-price” system. “In Rainbows” also topped the charts in Britain, Canada, France, Japan and Ireland, a representative for the group said. The critically acclaimed album sold a relatively modest 122,000 copies during its first official week in U.S. stores, according to Nielsen SoundScan data for the week ended January 6. Annie Lennox’s “Into the West,” from Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, won Best Original Song at the 2004 Golden Globe Awards last night in Los Angeles. P.O.D.'s 'Payable on Death' Goes Gold


Payable On Death, the newest album from Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum rock group P.O.D., has just been certified Gold by the RIAA after only four weeks on the album charts. Goldfinger Singer Suspected Of Vandalism, Home Raided By Authorities


Goldfinger front man and animal rights activist John Feldmann and his wife Amy, were featured on the syndicated television show, Celebrity Justice, last week. The segment dealt with an incident that occurred on October 3rd, when the couple’s Los Angeles area home was raided by over 30 law enforcement officials after they were falsely suspected of taking part in an act of vandalism against the home of Jerry Greenwalt, the General Manager for the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services.
