O.A.R. will hit the road with Dave Matthews Band June 17 in Maryland Heights, MO, followed by festivals and headline amphitheatre tour dates. If ever there were two bands meant to tour together, O.A.R. and DMB surely fit that bill. Much like DMB, O.A.R. tours constantly and has created a network of incredibly loyal supporters. Hot off the tails of her North American 21-city mall tour, Ms. Lavigne will be dropping by Toronto’s MuchMusic headquarters on Friday, May 28 at 8 p.m. ET, for an Intimate & Interactive special. The Foo Fighters will replace Guns N’ Roses in the May 30 headlining slot at the Rock in Rio festival in Lisbon. Guns N’ Roses last month pulled out of its planned performance at the event, citing the departure of guitarist Buckethead. The performance would have made GNR the first act to perform three times at the festival. Buckethead is already in the midst of a solo tour opening for Particle. Avril Lavigne has been previewing songs from her upcoming album Under My Skin during her Avril Live And By Surprise mall tour. The singer has typically performed five of the new songs-“Don’t Tell Me,” “He Wasn’t,” “My Happy Ending,” “Take Me Away,” and “Nobody’s Home.” Under My Skin comes out May 25. Starting tomorrow in Minneapolis, Lavigne and co-writer/guitarist Evan Taubenfeld will play sets that feature three songs from Skin – including the first single, “Don’t Tell Me” – along with material from her hit debut, Let Go.
