Atreyu Announce Headlining Dates

Acclaimed metallic rock act ATREYU have announced plans for a headlining tour in support of their upcoming Hollywood Records debut, Lead Sails Paper Anchor. The much-buzzed-about album arrives in stores on August 28th and the tour begins September 9th at the Big Easy in Boise, ID, with openers Haste The Day, It Dies Today plus a special guest to be announced.

Atreyu, who will grace the October cover (on stands Aug. 21)  of Revolver magazine, are currently previewing select songs from the new album while on the Family Values Tour, which sees them third on the bill and sharing the stage alongside the likes of Korn and Evanescence.

Among their new tracks is hard-hitting lead single “Becoming The Bull,” currently the No. 1 Most Added song at Active Rock radio and featured in EA Sports mega-popular new Madden ’08 video game. The band recently shot a video for the song with director Kevin Kerslake (Green Day, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins) and is also confirmed for MTV2’s “The Drop” for the week prior to their album release.

Atreyu recorded Lead Sails Paper Anchor this past spring with producer John Feldmann (The Used, Good Charlotte), who worked with the band to create their most infectious, ambitious disc yet. The album was mixed by Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Slipknot, Linkin Park).
