In true Matt Skiba fashion, he has shared a somewhat cryptic post on social media indicating that Alkaline Trio is in the studio working on new music. In his post, he doesn’t express if the band is recording what would be their tenth full-length album, but he does reveal that they are working alongside producer Cameron Webb once again. Hardcore three-piece Drain have released their boisterous cover of the Descendents’ 1985 single “Good Good Things” via Epitaph Records. The classic punk-rock track which assisted in launching the Descendents into fame was featured on their sophomore album I Don’t Want to Grow Up. Drain’s rendition of “Good Good Things” captures a similar essence as the Descendents’ version, albeit with a more modern punk twist that showcases vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro’s melodic prowess. Federal workers were laid off en masse, the genocide in Palestine rages on, and this is merely scratching the surface. Refer back, even further, to 2023 when SCOTUS overturned… Read more »

Life was simpler when “Uptwon Funk” by Bruno Mars ruled the charts, selfie sticks were a common accessory to carry around music festivals (for better or for worse), and Tumblr was thriving. And we can’t forget that Fall Out Boy had returned back from hiatus at this time, too. Whether you care to admit it or not, that year precedes us by an entire decade. Time flies when FOB is an active band, ya know? Uniquely, 2015 was the release year of some of the most iconic records in the… Read more »
